The Hannaford Supermarket access road is directly across the street from Misty Harbor; ¼ mile walk. The Hannaford shopping plaza also features a Flagship Movie theater, Retail options, liquor store, Pizzeria, Car wash, and a local luncheon favorite… The Bistro at R & R Chocolate, serving up hand crafted savory sandwiches, salads, bakery items & freshly made chocolates daily.
Also across the street from Misty Harbor is the Batson River Fish Camp Brewery serving fresh craft beers, lunch, and dinner. Additional options within walking distance for cocktails, happy hour, lunch & dinner are Billy’s Crowder House, Mike’s Clam Shack. And Seacoast Pizza.
For a good old-fashioned breakfast, Horizons Family Restaurant is directly across the street, & Congdon’s Donuts, arguably the best donut in New England is located just a hop, skip and jump up on route 1.
For littles and the young at heart, Wells Beach mini golf is available at Sun Outdoor campground just up the top of Mile Rd. on route 1 and Wells Beach Arcade is located at the east end of Mile Rd by the beach.
Other than the beaches, not to be missed Wells natural attractions requiring transportation include the Wells Harbor Community Park, Wells Reserve at Laudholm and the Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge visitor Center all feature easy to moderate trails to immerse yourself in the beauty and splendor of the seacoast.
